Hitting London town today with my friend Slaurie for some shopping and lots of lounging around looking tres cool and drinking iced delights. A date mix up left my flamingos waiting to be worn so today they were:

That Friday feeling

Just back from cocktails al fresco tonight which was nice until it got way too crowded outside. It was a good point to leave anyway as I'm off to London early tomorrow morning to meet dearest Salurie (my nickname for her, her real name being Lauren) and indulge in some culture-ness and stuff.

Been planning weekend outfits for the last few days to ensure a good mix. Tonight I went for big hair and braces:

The dress I wore today reminds me so much of ballet lessons when I was little. There was talent there (do you hear that mother?!) but alas it did not flourish. Such a shame for me and for the public. I can still do "Good toes, naughty toes" so I haven't forgotten it all. Anyway enough of me reminising about a past life, here's the dress:

"Don't rain on my parade"

I brought my loveliest pair of shoes out today to wear for work admist fears of rain! In the end it drizzled very slightly at the end of the day so no harm done. Creating a new outfit each day is getting more challenging and sometimes I just want to put the same old thing on but I don't. The great thing about this blog is that it is making me wear more of my clothes, which is a good thing (although that means more washing!).

Today's outfit had a 1950's, nautical vibe with the stripes and cigarette pants:

Action packed day battling with the photocopier and then having a meeting at New Walk Museum. This job sure is a learning curve! Another outfit change this morning as I attempt to plan outfits for the weekend ahead: drinks with friends, day in London and Grandmama's birthday. Went for vintage dress which looked better this time around:

I seriously think I have after spending all day looking at my computer screen! Got a really bad headache and generally felt unwell. Think it may also be the lack of ventilation in the office. Anyhoo I soldiered on til the end of the day and managed to stay awake.

There was a quick outfit change this morning and I still made the train! Ended up looking cas cool:

"I am woman, hear me roar!"

Like most people I tend to stick to a style I think suits me and I feel comfortable in. A trend that I had passed on for a couple of years is tribal. I'm not into the whole wooden jewellery, folksy thing so it didn't appeal to me. However since developing heat rash on my feet I decided to get some sandals to let my feet breathe. First I bought the pink ruffle ones, and at the weekend I caved in and bought GLADIATOR SANDALS! (I should point out here that I can't wear thong sandals whatsoever as they aggrivate my toes after about five minutes so that cuts down my options significantly).

I have to say the sandals are really comfy and I'm pleased with them. After the gladiator sandals I thought I should embrace the look fully and here I am:
