A whole new world

I know some of my friends will remember how much I moaned about the show I was in last year and how I vowed never to do it again but a year is a long time and things change, mainly me. I have been able to gain some perspective and see that I could have done things differently so I am gearing up for the new show! The writer has chosen Aladdin for this production (the panto version) and auditions are in a few weeks so watch this space!

I went to Leicester last week to register with a new agency and get some ribbon for my shoes. I thought I would pop into Primark, just to have a look and ended up coming out with several new things, including this top:

Quite an odd one tonight. I know An Inspector Calls like the back of my hand as we studied it at high school and I have been enthralled with it ever since, so I was really excited to see it performed tonight, but by the end I was baffled and disappointed as they seemed to have taken a great story and added uneccessary drama.

And speaking of drama, check the outfit! I decided to go tonal and wear my new tunic from Evans (thanks to a 25% discount code of mum's) with my ruffle jacket that never sees the light of day. Really overdressed but I'm past caring these days and prefer to dress up like I imagine they did in the old days:

After months of quiet my weekends are getting super busy with theatre, ballet and parties! Tonight I went with my mum to a colleague's Mendhi party before the wedding and I had a little bit done myself so was very pleased! I did my best to create my own bollywood style outfit:

For the past couple of days I have been attending a personal development course geared towards getting you "job ready". I bagged up some more of my unwanted and unworn clothes on Saturday and headed down to London for the Swap Shop organised by Claire of A Monkey Fatshionista. It was a great day and everyone who came went home with something new for their wardrobe. I managed to acquire an art deco print dress (that I will feature soon) some shoes and a necklace to add to my vast collection!

I decided to wear the shoes and necklace today with a new tee from Tesco of all places! I was surprised after looking in practically every high street store to find a decent, and on trend tee in there. I'm hoping to get a lot of wear out of it as its pretty versatile:
