Tomorrow I leave for warmer climes and a week of r 'n' r in Turkey with the sis. Holiday wardrobe is sure to be fabulous and posts may include a cheeky swimsuit pic but we'll see when I get back!

"It's raining, it's pouring"

There's no better time to go away than when the weather outside is miserable and it's raining so holiday here we come! In true form a hectic day to end the week sorting out labels and letters for the mailout and down to the wire to get it finished in time to go home. As it was raining before I even left the house I decided boots were in order and on came the winter clothes:

Tomorrow is my last day of work before holiday and I can't wait! Even went to get some summer reading today so am fully prepared for a week of fun in the sun! (well maybe not too much sun as I don't want to burn!).

I go through phases with the jewellery in H&M, sometimes I see loads of stuff and other times nothing. On a trip last week I was lucky and bought a pair of earrings I wore on Saturday night, a pair of retro sunglasses (will be aired next week) and this little fellow (an owl necklace):

The last remnants of cake have been polished off (what a triumph!) and another birthday over for another year. On to the holiday prep and wardrobe planning! A week of no bedroom/ dressing room comforts means I have to be savvy and pack everything but not exceed 15kg. I can foresee a challenge . . .

Firstly this is my 200th post! Woo hoo! Thanks to anyone who takes the time to read this, I do appreciate it. Also it's my birthday! Just managing to post before I hit the hay after a tiring but fantastic weekend! Have to say a massive thank you to parents, the sis and all my lovely friends who came and celebrated with me! I love you all!

Had such a good time dancing and drinking cocktails with all the lovelies who came and I didn't feel that bad when I got up this morning! Got some lovely presents including a 1940/50's dog brooch, Mary Quant pop socks, lots of choc and money and vouchers. Went out for lunch with some of the survivors from Saturday night where we had nice food and then my birthday cake! I was amazed to come in last night and see a green cake just like the Priscilla one I love so much so was very happy indeed. Here it is:

This is from yesterday as I was too tired to post and fell asleep before 9 o'clock, lame! Had a massive sleep to make up for weeks of no sleep and general tiredness.

So me and the sis decided to hit Nottingham yesterday to look for holiday and party clothes. We ran into a friend at the train station and had a good old catch up and then who should we see as we got off the train but Katie of WhatKatieWore blog fame! Argh! I was totally surprised and had to say something. She was so sweet and looked fabulous so it really did make my day! We headed to Nando's for some lunch and to sustain us for some serious shopping. Outfit picks to follow as the clothes are for holiday!

Mini break

My mini holiday starts here! Will be shopping tomorrow for holiday and party clothes, hairdressers on Friday and then making some surprises for Sunday! Hopefully will be able to spend some time relaxing as well.

I still managed to get out of the house this morning at a reasonable time despite a quick outfit change. I was going to wear my new/ old shirtdress that I acquired at the Big Bum Jumble on Saturday but decided it looked rather 80's power dresser for a Wednesday at work so exchanged it for this:
