"Strike a pose"

This is quite apt to describe me posing for my daily outfit pic but today refers to models at a charity fashion show I have just been to. A very fun evening out with the girlies, looking the part, complete with new neon leapord print flats:

"It's showtime!"

Already been and come back from the "interview", hopefully I have impressed them. Ensemble was professional with a twist, my speciality:

"This is your 5 minute curtain call"

Actually I have a bit longer than that to get ready, got another interview tomorrow but for an internship in the fashion biz. I'm hoping to impress them with my knowledge of web design and e-marketing!

Back to today and my attempt to portray destitution for the jobcentre, I think I managed it quite well despite my fancy tee:

"Red alert!"

I'm getting the distinct impression that my room is starting to remind me of a proper boudoir, think it's the heady sweet smell of my perfume and not all the lace and feathers lying around!

Today's outfit reminded me that I need to get another skinny waist belt as this one is being overused:

"On and on and on . . . . ."

The employment hunt continues. There seemed to be a possibility but that turned out to be a BIG FAT FAKE! so back to the drawing board. The knee is improving and I took it out for some gentle exercise round the HighCross centre. Decided to go for a modern rock chic kind of look with mini/ lacey top combo and new embelished belt:

"Every cloud has a silver lining"

It seems there is a perk to being unemployed: free pills and no bills! Seeing as I am currently hobbling around the house due to an inflammed and very painful knee this has come as pleasing news! Also means the sweatpants and leisurewear is getting frequent use but I did have to venture out today to get my teeth checked and was able to wear one of my new purchases:

"Hello Sailor!"

Managed to get a picture of the lovely kitties from my outfit yesterday:

Popped down to London town to catch up with a friend and do some shopping. This resulted in some gems purchased from Topshop. Got a lace top, heart print cardi and Hello Sailor! necklace which is pretty awesome:

It has been a busy week in terms of socialising, was out on the town on friday night in a very sparkly, shimmy dress:

"Congratulations and jubilations"

On two accounts today:

1. My picture has been posted on the WKW blog! yay!
2. A somewhat belated graduation gift arrived today! It is a sparkley kitty brooch from Butler and Wilson, creators of sparkley things, see it here!

"Early night anyone?"

Was up late last night, my eye glued to the screen devouring all the blogs I could read. I seem to go through phases where I spend hours discovering new ones and catching up with old ones. Hopefully there won't be a repeat tonight.

Just come back from venturing to Leicester to meet a friend for dinner, seemed too late to go out but was deceived by the darkness: it was only 5pm. There was the ever present sparkle in the outfit:

Sugar and Spice because I'm so nice

Unlike those St Trinians Girls I saw today! Although they come good in the end (apologies if this is a spoiler which I doubt it as the film has been out for yonks!!)

Pictured wearing lots of pearls to accompany my Chanel-esque jumper:

"Mixed bag"

So yesterday I braced the bitter wind and freezing weather to attend an interview in London, looking very chic as always:

Today I tried to inject a bit of country humour into the outfit, hence the gingham, but also keeping warm in my cosy coral cardigan:

"What Katie Wore" stays!!!

Am over the moon with joy thanks to news that WKW lives on! I was trying to imagine life without WKW providing a ray of sunshine and it was not a happy picture. Apparently fan pics will be uploaded this week so am eager to see what other WKW fans are wearing.

Have finally got an interview for a job, taking place tomorrow so expect a picture of grown up glamour!

"Watch out Ugly B . . . . ."

You may have competition!:

So 2009 came and went in the blink of an eye and whilst the venue was not the nicest, the occasion was celebrated with the same amount of enthusiasm and glamour:

(The Ansari sisters looking very festive)

Just been checking out the film trailers for 2010 and alarmingly there are a few good ones! SATC 2 looks intriguing and can be relied upon to entertain with fashion and glitz. Others include Toy Story 3, Sherk Forever After and Alice in Wonderland.

Sherlock Holmes has been a common hit with a twisty plotline and lots of cgi goodness. Outfit included a disguise aid in the form of a scarf:
