All change

I seem to live my beauty life on impulses: getting hair cuts, manicures, waxing etc. Today was no exception. I deliberated over getting my nails done and decided against it but may change my mind but I did decide to get my hair cut and coloured and made an appointment for tomorrow morning! Just need to decide what to have done now. . . . .

Twas the last day of work and my weekend starts here! Well tomorrow with prep for Saturday night's shennanigans so am getting pretty excited!

I've surprised myself by managing to work different looks for the same item of clothing, like this dress:

Necklace: Primark

Top: New Look

Dress: Dorothy Perkins

Belt: Primark

Leggings: Evans

W is for waiting

The excitement is building for Lynn's big birthday bash! A night of cocktails, more cocktails and 80's tunes to end the night! Good times! Just got a few more days to wait.

I have been trying to get the wear out of my harem pants while I can so wore them again today:

Shirt: Evans

Necklace: Funky Dorey

Belt: Primark

Harem Pants: New Look

"Born in the 80's, the 80's"

And it seems like I'm living it now what with civil unrest, mass unemployment and of course my clothes! The leggings, colour popping and studs. Very retro. Today I decided on leopard print and coral:

180!

Posts that is! Actually not many as it is over a year ago I started this blog but am endeavouring to get better! So another drab Monday with drizzle on the way to work. It is still humid so decided to wear my shorts while I still can:

Well howdee there partner!

A pre-celebratory evening tonight for my friend Lynn's birthday. We saw Eclipse at the cinema and then had a drink and a good old catch up. She opened her present to much delight and amusement:

The night ended with me posing for my outfit pic with the glamour of the car park behind me:

Zzzzzz . . . .

The weekend starts here! And with that I am already in bed! ha ha ha! I sure know how to live it up these days. What with my bad back, aching legs and feeling tired I can't wait to sleep but before I do I will share with you today's outfit. Still 80's I think but with a Parisian twist:

"To infinity . . . . . and the end"

Just made it to bed after a long but very enjoyable day of work, dinner and cinema. Saw the last Toy Story film with the ma in 3D which was very comical. A great film as always from Disney Pixar and a nice ending to the trilogy. Next up is Twilight and Shrek!

Rocking the 80's look at the moment with layers and a side ponytail:

In conclusion

An unsettling day. I wish the weather would make it's mind up. Or that the forecasters would do a better job. Wearing jeggings and a jacket in this heat was not a good move so at least I had the foresight to take my photo early:

Jacket: River Island

Tunic: F+F

Necklace: Peacocks

Jeggings: Dorothy Perkins

Trepidation

Lots of uncertainties at the moment. Spent most of last week sitting down as the pain in my back decided to make another unwelcome arrival.

Today's outfit was done in a hurry and not one of my finest:

Cardigan: Dorothy Perkins

Dress: River Island

Leggings: Topshop

"Rain rain go away"

I can hear myself being pulled towards warmer climes now that the rain has replaced the sunshine for the week, and perhaps longer. The drizzle, wind and eventual mist made my Monday very drab indeed. To liven things up I decided to wear colour and some bling in the for of my Viv brooch:

Necklace: Vintage

Cardigan: Warehouse

Orb brooch: Vivienne Westwood

Tunic: Dorothy Perkins

Jeggings: Dorothy Perkins

Belated Birthday lunch

Took the Grandmama for lunch at Nando's today, which was delish! Lots of yummy food and then a stroll round Jay Lew (John Lewis) to buy wrapping paper and perfume. Am now deciding what film to watch before bed and another early start tomorrow for work.

The sis is home and without clothes to wear (well none that she wanted to) so she wore one of my dresses today. To avoiding looking like twins in the same colour I changed into this:

Necklace: Peacocks

Lace top: Primark

Tee: H&M

Bangles: Primark

Harem pants: New Look

Shoes: Office

"Here come the girls"

Hitting London town today with my friend Slaurie for some shopping and lots of lounging around looking tres cool and drinking iced delights. A date mix up left my flamingos waiting to be worn so today they were:

Belt: H&M

Bangles: Primark

Leggings: F+F

That Friday feeling

Just back from cocktails al fresco tonight which was nice until it got way too crowded outside. It was a good point to leave anyway as I'm off to London early tomorrow morning to meet dearest Salurie (my nickname for her, her real name being Lauren) and indulge in some culture-ness and stuff.

Been planning weekend outfits for the last few days to ensure a good mix. Tonight I went for big hair and braces:

Top: Warehouse

Nadia (not quite) Ballerina

The dress I wore today reminds me so much of ballet lessons when I was little. There was talent there (do you hear that mother?!) but alas it did not flourish. Such a shame for me and for the public. I can still do "Good toes, naughty toes" so I haven't forgotten it all. Anyway enough of me reminising about a past life, here's the dress:

Jacket: Primark

Dog brooch: Granny's

Pearls: Granny's

Tank: H&M

"Don't rain on my parade"

I brought my loveliest pair of shoes out today to wear for work admist fears of rain! In the end it drizzled very slightly at the end of the day so no harm done. Creating a new outfit each day is getting more challenging and sometimes I just want to put the same old thing on but I don't. The great thing about this blog is that it is making me wear more of my clothes, which is a good thing (although that means more washing!).

Today's outfit had a 1950's, nautical vibe with the stripes and cigarette pants:

Top: New Look

Necklace: Peacocks

Ink stains

Action packed day battling with the photocopier and then having a meeting at New Walk Museum. This job sure is a learning curve! Another outfit change this morning as I attempt to plan outfits for the weekend ahead: drinks with friends, day in London and Grandmama's birthday. Went for vintage dress which looked better this time around:

Dress: vintage

Belt: Primark

Bracelet: H&M

Leggings: Evans

Shoes: Primark

Square eyes

I seriously think I have after spending all day looking at my computer screen! Got a really bad headache and generally felt unwell. Think it may also be the lack of ventilation in the office. Anyhoo I soldiered on til the end of the day and managed to stay awake.

There was a quick outfit change this morning and I still made the train! Ended up looking cas cool:

Cardigan: Primark

Dress: Primark

"I am woman, hear me roar!"

Like most people I tend to stick to a style I think suits me and I feel comfortable in. A trend that I had passed on for a couple of years is tribal. I'm not into the whole wooden jewellery, folksy thing so it didn't appeal to me. However since developing heat rash on my feet I decided to get some sandals to let my feet breathe. First I bought the pink ruffle ones, and at the weekend I caved in and bought GLADIATOR SANDALS! (I should point out here that I can't wear thong sandals whatsoever as they aggrivate my toes after about five minutes so that cuts down my options significantly).

I have to say the sandals are really comfy and I'm pleased with them. After the gladiator sandals I thought I should embrace the look fully and here I am:
