Maybe cherry?

No outfit post yesterday as I spent it in my pjs lying on the sofa watching t.v and generally feeling ill and therefore useless. Today was better in that I got out of the house and accompanied mama to Nottingham to look at cars (for me and her) and then go shopping. Got my eye on a cherry red Nissen Micra so we'll see what happens . . . . . . . .

Speaking of cherries, decided to wear my cherry/rasberry tights today:

Blazer: New Look

Spotty shirt: Tesco

Cameo brooch: Accessorize

"Go Go Power Rangers!"

Early start this morning for my driving lesson with Elvis, which went well. Am on the road to being a fully qualified driver, although I think he was worried about my level of road rage before I've even passed my test! Yelling at cyclists and pedestrians on the road is probably not a good move with the instructor beside me.
There was the realisation this morning that my outfit today inspires images of crime fighting with my rainbow friends and transforming with the help of my bracelets:

Cardigan: Tesco

Tunic: Evans

Jeggings: Dorothy Perkins

Pumps: H & M

Bracelets: Primark and H & M

"Eyes of thunder"

Just one of the very catchy songs previewed by Furrowed Fox this eve at Free Fest auditions. Went with a few friends and we sure did have a laugh, mostly at the acts so not very nice but we did cheer (somewhat too much in my case) and were encouraging.
Got some good news today regarding my driving; apparently I am now ready to take my test! Argh! Scary stuff but also exciting as this means I could be coming soon on a road near you . . . .

Wore my new Primark dress today with green tights (frogs legs anyone?) and matching floral accessories, which was very twee:

Floral dress: Primark

Brooch: gift

Belt and bracelet: Primark

Tights: Tesco

Black flats: Schuh

Another night out

Which makes it four this week! Major for me! Went for dinner with some friends and then out for a drink, although was a total old lady as the music was getting on my nerves and making it hard to have a conversation. Obviously not meant for that. Decided to whip the flower blazer out again and work quite a colourful look:

Rasberry dress: Tesco

Cream belt: Primark

Green bracelet: H & M

Monocrome flats: New Look

"Let's do the Time Warp again"

OMGness such an exciting night! Rocky Horror was A MAZING! David Badella was tremedous as Frank, having seen him before I knew he would be. However, there was a lack of Horror fans I felt, not many dressed up and certainly not many with the props or doing the comebacks; Brad you arsehole! Janet you Slut! Anyways it was still good and I couldn't get up fast enough up to do the Time Warp!

Adding to my visits to Wagamama, surely in double figures by now! Food gorge as ever, but service was very slow. Think they needed some Rocky to pep them up! Then popped into the imaginarium to sample the delights. All in all a spectacular, freaky fun filled night! Imaginarium was Alice in Wonderland theme so my Rocky outfit somewhat covered it:

Sunglasses: ASOS

Tux: Tesco

"It's just a jump to the left . . . . . "

Have been practising my moves as I will be doing the Time Warp tomorrow night ,and stressing over a costume. It turns out I have no risque clothes; no corset, hotpants, short skirts or low cut tops in sight. Is this a good thing? Or do I need to get out more? Who knows, all I do know is that I have been rehearsing all the lyrics so hopefully will be perfect!

Decided I was sick of my hair today so popped to the hairdressers to get my fringe put back in, much better! It's funny how my hair always looks better the next day once it has been washed and I have messed about with it. Anyhoo this is what it looks like now (apologies for poor pic quality, was taken in a rush):

Cardigan: Tesco

Print top: New Look

Jeans: Dorothy Perkins

Belt: Primark

"Glove me Mr B"

Just watched the most OMG episode of Holby City! Joseph punching a consultant who totally deserved it, bloody Oliver messing about in other people's business! and maybe a return for the dominatrix that is Connie Beauchamp! Very good episode, so well done BBC! Only saw it now as I returned from the cinema. Went to see Valentine's Day which was surprisingly good, a few shocks, twists and turns that had the audience gasping and laughing as well as the predictable "Awwww".

I decided to wear my new and very beautiful shoes, attemping to break them in:

The outfit itself was very romantic and wistful:

Necklace: Primark

Cardigan: Primark

Dress (worn underneath): Primark

Tights: Tesco

Beautiful new shoes: Schuh

Wow a lot of Primarni there!

Pancakes and potatoes

So it was a very cas - ual day today, 2 hour driving lesson which was just manoeuvers and then watching t.v, emailing and general bumming about. Ohhhh and pancakes made by the mama! (I was useless) We only managed a few, thought to quit before I felt sick.

Today's outfit nods to sailor chic with the navy, white and red:

Navy cardigan, red bow vest, jeans: New Look

Cupcake love

Another day out driving and trying to conquer manoeuvers, which proved a challenge today. I was able to let off some steam by moseying along to Open Mic night at the uni. Got to listen to some coolio music and have a proper catch up with a friend. Apart from getting caught in the rain coming home it was a fun night! Thought I would jazz my outfit up, although I forgot it would be students in hoodies and uggs, so a tad overdressed but nevermind:

Jacket: River Island

Dancing ladies tee: Topshop

Skirt and leggings: New Look

Necklace: Primark.

Now who would have thought that a trip to Tesco would lead to such cool (and fashionable) nailpolish? Cool grey with a hint of blue:

This is not fashion related but thought I would put it in as it is majorly cute!

Two loves of my life: cupcakes and Paperchase! Thanks mama!

Happy Valentine's Day Chica's!

Yet another Valentine's has rolled into town. As someone who is both single and cynical it didn't cause much of a stir apart from some nice cards and chocs from the 'rents, friends and my granny. Decided to get dressed up all girly, even if it was only to go to Tesco's and the laundry:

Cardigan: Primark

Flowery top: Dorothy Perkins

Headband: Anna Lou of London

"Make haste, make haste!"

So after another day of being a domestic godess (of sorts!) I went over to a friends house to watch movies, but ended up rushing so had to think on my feet to scramble an outfit together in time:

Longline shirt: Evans

Cardigan: Tesco

Leggings: Evans

Pearls: (new) Primark

Shoes: Schuh

"I did it, I did it!"

Took my driving theory test today and I passed!!! It was a bit up in the air at some points whilst doing the hazard perception but all that revision paid off! Now I have to pass the practical and I'll be let loose on the road!

Eventhough it was looking fairly miserable today I decided to inject some colour and fun into my outfit, hoping it would lift my spirits, and it worked:

Dress: Primark
Tee: H & M
Jacket: (new) River Island
Leggings: New Look
Boots: Schuh

"I'm all shook up"

Day 2 of driving with Elvis (he actually likes to be called that!) and there is improvement on the steering front and on the road! Yipee! It is all falling into place . . . . . . . . . .

Today's outfit was built around the top, decided to make it even more outlandish and added my kitty and Viv brooches to amp it up:

"Thank you, thank you very much"

So am now onto Snowy number 2 and instructor number 3! (who bears a resemblance to the king of rock 'n' roll and who likes to be known by that name). Let's hope things don't get any worse! I think that there is somewhat of a silver lining in that I get to drive the latest car, although it doesn't seem that great, which pleases the 'rents as I no longer want one! Ha ha ha!
Rather random outfit today after I decided I was cold and added more layers:

Cardigan: Dorothy Perkins

Dress: Vera Moda

Leggings: Evans

Pumps: Office

Bow: gift from the lovely Audrey (but Topshop)

Saturday 6 February 2010

"Follow the yellow brick road"

. . . . So I did to Leicester Comedy Festival to partake of a multitude of delights including a poetry brothel and disco, a rather random but very enjoyable night. Fancy dress was required so decided to whip on some ruby slippers:

V E Day!

Victory! Victory! Have FINALLY got employment! Will be putting my fashion knowledge to good use and working for a fashion company, helping them with their launch, working on their website and organising fashion shoots! (how cool!) Just a day in the life for a fashionista such as myself! Thought that I should work some trends into the interview outfit so I did polka dots, florals, ladylike chic and embelishment:

The day Nadia met snowy

Yes today was the long awaited arrival of snowy (aka Fiat 500) for Nadia to drive! Turns out to be quite pokey and a lot like driving a toy car! Takes a bit of getting used to but am sure I am will be whizzing around the streets in no time! My lovely mummy took a pic:

Thought that I should dress up a bit for the occasion:

Jumper dress: Dorothy Perkins

Jeggings: Dorothy Perkins

Converse: Schuh

Necklaces: Primark and Funky Dory

Monday 1 February 2010

"Where's Nadia?"

Well I was out and about . . . at the job centre and then to Fosse Park. I was getting the Where's Wally? vibe from the outfit today with the stripy jumper, although I doubt Wally would wear a Hello Sailor! necklace:

Jumper: Primark

Jeans: New Look

Boots: Schuh

Belt: H&M

Necklace: Topshop
